She holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. Her teaching and research interests are in the area of multicultural education including the Underground Railroad, English as a Second Language, and the design of classroom instruction to include multiple forms of literacy. She teaches gifted and talented, social studies, and diversity courses. Kimberly also enjoys writing curriculum focused on economics and personal finance for K-12 students and adults. Four of her works have won national awards from both educational and professional business associations. She holds degrees from the University of Louisville, NKU, and Purdue University.
